All about the moon     When you look up in the night sky what’s the biggest thing you see? It’s probably the moon. How did the moon form anyway, what’s on the dark side of the moon. You will find out in this post. The moon is a quarter as wide as Earth, making it the biggest moon size relative to its parent planet in the solar system. Also it’s the brightest & biggest object in our night sky view from earth. The moon formed about 4.5 billion years ago, shortly after Earth but unlike earth it’s surface hasn’t changed at all. The dark spots on the side were created by floods of lava that erupted about 3 billion years ago. Surrounding that there are valleys & hills littered by meteorites. How was the moon formed? Scientists thought of many theories but the most popular and proven one is that a small planet struck the earth and lots of tiny pieces flung out off into space. Then most of those pieces glued into one giant sphere, the moon. This probably was how it looked like. Quick f
