The instant of creation | Short reads

Nobody knows exactly how the universe began to exist. There are many theory’s that try to answer this seemingly impossible question but the most widely accepted is the Big Bang theory. The theory states that the universe began as an infinitely small burning ball that gave rise to space , matter and energy. None of our rules of physics applied to this time. This happened 13.7 billion years ago.

The question we still don’t have a clear explanation for is how did a small dot of light filled with energy arise from nothingness? We might have a few candidates for the answer. Anyway this small dot expanded more and more. The good thing is that we are alive at the perfect time. The suns not gonna swallow earth anytime soon , lasers from supernovas are not going to hit us so all we have to do is take this time for granted.

My name is Theertha and I am 8 years old. My little brother’s name is Chris and he is 3 months old. My favourite board games are scrabble (original) monopoly and snakes and ladders. I live in Craigieburn Australia and I live with my aunty, my dad, my mum, my little brother, (as previously mentioned) and my grandma. Sometimes my aunty comes to our house. I was born in Sri Lanka. It is a tiny island near India which had the same population as Australia. It is one of the smallest countries in the world. It was quite crowded in the tiny little country. Hello, my blog viewers. Today we are going to learn about the tiny building blocks that make up us and other animals. Can you guess what it is? It’s cells! The cell is made out of different parts.  Let’s look at them now.  If you were shrunk to a  size that lets you fit through the cell and you found one, the first thing you would see is the cells outer shell. We call it the cell membrane. The cell membrane only lets specific things in. If you could somehow get in, you would see the different parts of the cell.  The different parts of the cell are called organelles. The organelles that you would see are the Nucleus, some Mitochondria, the Endoplasmic reticulum, some Lysosomes and the Golgi apparatus, but when you walk you will realise that there is one more part, and it is the most important. It’s the Cytoplasm! It provides a surface for the organelles to live on. Let’s learn more about the organelles.  The Nucleus decides and controls most of the functions going on in the cell

Black holes | Why are they so important? |

  Black holes are one of the marvels in the universe. There are so many of them and we barely know anything about them. In this article I’ll tell you about them.  If you don’t know what a black hole is black holes are  things that can suck up planets or even stars! There are different types. Supermassive, spinning or maybe just a normal one. Structure A black holes structure is quite unique. There are spinning black holes and non spinning black holes. There are also supermassive black holes. In normal black holes there is a disc around it called an accretion disc. Near that we have the event horizon. In the middle there is a single point with an infinitely small length but contains the entire mass of the black hole. For spinning black holes there’s a accretion disc and also an ergo sphere.
